Ladakh Trekking Tour Stok Description: Experience climbing Stok Kangri with Markha Valley Trek. Enjoy the beauty of Markha Valley and scenic beauty of Himalayan Mountains from the summit of Stok Kangri. The climbing is easy even if you are trekker without an experience.
The Markha valley trek is relatively easy, but it involves crisscrossing the stream at numerous points depending on the water level. The valley is narrows until Nimaling and it will open when you are the base of Kang Yaze peak (6400 m). Climb up to the summer pastures of Nimaling, used by the shepherds of Hangkar and Markha, and then follow the hedge to the top. The KongmaruLa pass 5200 meters commands a beautiful view of the Kang Yaze peak north face (6400 m), the Ladakh ranges and the Indus valley.
The route is not difficult but at this altitude, it will be strenuous. From the summit of Stok Kangri (6150mtrs), we should see as far as the Karakoram, the Pamirs and Tibet. If it's warm enough we'll rest and recover some energy on top before descending to base-camp. Next day down to Stok you will walk inside a beautiful gorge flow the small river of Stok and from there taxi pickup you to Leh.
