Ladakh expedition Goleb Kangri Description: This Peak is an additional for Stok Kangri expedition, can attempt both the summit but it took one or two days extra for sure. In Ladakh Goleb means flat-head and this peak's summit is exactly that. The last stretch of the peak is little technical and you require a bit of knowledge about mountaineering for attempting this peak. Goleb Kangri is also close to Leh and same way to Stok Kangri and to do summit of Goleb Kangri you need at least 4-5 days.

Ladakh Expedition Goleb Kangri Day 01: Stok-Mankarmo 4-5 hrs This Expedition is going to same route as Stok Kangri expedition until the base camp also sharing same base camp; morning drive from Leh to Stok village is about 15 km, start walking from the Stok trekking point along the stream. It is long and cumbersome walk through the valley. There are many shepherd camps in the different entrances of the sub valleys. The Mankarmo camp is at the point from where the valley turns southward. It is possible to trek up to the base camp (4980) in a day, but to get acclimatized it is recommended to make it in two days. The camp at Mankarmo (4300m) is on the river bed and little more traffic than Normal Mountain camping in Ladakh together many animals around walking in the night.
Ladakh Expedition Goleb Kangri Day 02: Base camp: Keep walking in the same direction for around 30 minutes and then head towards southward. It involves crossing the stream at several points during the forward march. You reach at the camp after vertical ascent, overnight in camp.
